In tent “Spuldze” in June 30 from 18:00 till 19:30 will happen a mock situation and a discussion "Biobank - Why to Participate?". The discussion is organized by the Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre and the Genome Database of Latvian Population.

We are very good at organizing our work, personal life and finances, but can we plan our health and does anyone help us? Genome Database of Latvian Population is a national biobank that provides biological material for scientific research in Latvia. One of the goals of this "bank" is to develop personalized medicine in Latvia which would allow each person to plan their lifestyle for their health and help doctors to choose an individualized approach. What is happening in Latvia now and what could happen in the future? Answers to these questions will be sought in staged scenes from everyday situations and in discussions with leading experts in the field.
