May 4 marks the courage of our nation, our determination for freedom, and our belief in an independent future. It is a day to proudly reflect on our journey toward a free and democratic Latvia.

Through our work, we contribute every day to Latvia’s future—advancing science, fostering innovation, nurturing the next generation of researchers, and developing solutions for public health and national growth. The contribution of Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre lies in knowledge, research excellence, and international collaboration, helping to bring Latvia’s name to the global stage.

We are also at an important turning point ourselves—we have made a bold decision to grow and evolve. On May 31, by joining forces with Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, we will become the National Research and Innovation Institute—a strong and forward-looking center for science and innovation.

May unity, responsibility, and dedication to Latvia continue to strengthen us every day.
