Yesterday, “BioPhoT” Industry Day 2026 took place at the Science House of the University of Latvia, bringing together researchers, industry representatives, and investors to foster collaboration between science and business.
During the event, memoranda of cooperation were signed with Hello Tomorrow and EIT Health, supporting the development of BioPhoT platform solutions and enhancing their visibility within the European innovation ecosystem.
Participants were introduced to BioPhoT platform research projects, prototypes, and technological solutions in the fields of biomedicine, photonics, smart materials, and engineering technologies. The programme also included insights into BMC PIP projects – EVBoost and FLUID-C, their implementation and expected outcomes.
Latvian and international experts shared their experience in knowledge transfer and research commercialization, while panel discussions and networking sessions highlighted that Latvia has a strong ecosystem for the development of internationally competitive innovations.
