On January 14ht-15th Joint Action Personalized Cancer Medicine (JA-PCM) kick-off meeting took place in Brussels. Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre is competent authority for JA-PCM implementation in Latvia. Coordinating and implementing this project in Latvia, in collaboration with Ministry of Health, University of Latvia (LU), Riga Stradins University (RSU), Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS) and Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (PSKUS).
The goal of this Joint Action (JA) is to make personalized cancer care more accessible and well-understood across Europe. The aim is to develop healthcare strategies that follow individuals throughout their lives, whether they are healthy, battling cancer, or living as cancer survivors.
The partners in this initiative agree that the best outcomes for patients come from addressing prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up together as part of an integrated approach.
From Latvia in this meeting participated Vita Rovite from BMC, Dina Bēma from LU, Ineses Čakstiņa-Dzērve and Arcangela de Nicolo from RSU, interacting with colleagues from the project, discussing experience and setting plans for further project activities.

JA PCM has received funding from the EU4Health Programme 2021-2027 under Grant Agreement 101233450. More info: https://biomed.lu.lv/project/joint-action-personalised-cancer-medicine-ja-pcm/
