BMC SP was founded on 25.04.2017 and is currently the only student council associated with a scientific institute in the Baltics.
Benefits of participating in BMC SP activities:
– Being informed about what is happening in the BMC,

– Developing new contacts and cooperation, getting to know peers from other scientific groups,

What have we already done?
09 08.09.2017. After a long break, sports games were organized for BMC employees.
29.09.2017. The BMC hosted a series of activities during the European Researchers’ Night with a total of more than 300 visitors.
01.03.2018. As part of the BMC’s 25th anniversary, the Student Council looked to the future to present both a serious and some amusing vision for the next 25 years.
28.09.2018. Organization of a European Researchers’ Night event under the Horizon 2020 project. The BMC accommodates more than 1,200 visitors.
17.-19.06.2019. We participated in the process of organizing FEBS3 + conference (Riga, Latvia).
27.09.2019. Organization of a European Researchers’ Night event under the Horizon 2020 project. The BMC accommodates more than 1000 visitors.
Various scientific seminars with guest lecturers and field experts from other institutions have also been organized (“Pharmacology-biology”, “New findings in cancer research”, “Aging and related diseases”).
Several BMC SP representatives regularly engage in organization of excursions in BMC (for schoolchildren, students and even teacher groups), as well as promoting science and BMC activities outside the BMC premises.
