European Researchers' Night at Latvian Biomedical Research and Studies Centre



On September 27, from 17:00 to 23:00, the European Researchers' Night will take place at the Latvian Biomedical Research and Studies Centre. The topic of European Researchers' Night this year is Science for the Future.

BMC invites visitors of different ages to look into the everyday life and challenges of the scientist. This year, at BMC premises, every visitor will have a great opportunity:

  • To take part in a fascinating quest – set of educational and interactive activities;
  • To try the unique biology version of the “Escape room” game, which will include a maze of lasers, mind puzzles and other activities;
  • To participate in the activity “Be like a test rabbit or how to put yourself in a biobank?!”
  • To get to know the strength of the mother tribe;
  • To explore the interaction of human and environmental micro-organisms in the “Maze of microbiome”;
  • Search for the different and similar between cells and stars;
  • See and grow protein crystals;
  • Perform colourful experiments and participate in many other interactive and educational activities, along with the knowledgeable and responsive BMC scientists.
